I created this felt seasonal tree with the help of my eldest so that he could better understand the passing of the seasons. At the time, we were living in Australia where everything felt a little ‘topsy-turvey.’ Read on for some crafty inspiration…

You will need:
- Felt in an assortment of colours
- Sharp scissors

What to do:
We started by cutting a piece of brown felt to resemble a tree, then cut out rough circular shapes to represent each season. We went with:
- Green and red (apples) for Summer
- Pinks for Spring
- White for Winter
- Orange, red and purple for Autumn
The beauty of felt is that it sticks without glue so you can keep moving the felt pieces to tell the story of the seasons. H was around 7 years old when we made this. It was a good way for him to understand the passing of the seasons whilst also working on his scissors skills!
